ATLANTA (May 31, 2017) – The new DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody hotel opens today following a $12 million transformation. Owned by Whitman Peterson and Sage Hospitality and managed by Sage Hospitality, the completely redesigned and renovated property embodies modern Southern hospitality.
The soulful design of the hotel is a fresh take on the South, with dramatic wood beams, features that welcome in ample natural light and a soothing color palette. Guests will be treated to open and contemporary public spaces, beautifully appointed guest rooms, customizable meeting spaces that are as functional as they are fashionable and a host of other amenities, such as a 24/7 fitness center and pool with state-of-the-art equipment; a full-service restaurant and bar featuring southern fare, a market pantry and, of course, the signature, warm DoubleTree Cookie at check-in.
“DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody gives guests quick and easy access to the best that Atlanta has to offer. We are conveniently located inside the perimeter in Dunwoody, giving our guests access to the area’s vibrant business community along with some of the best shopping and dining in the city,” said Bryan Shepherd, General Manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody. “We’re looking forward to welcoming guests into the hotel.”
The new Atlanta hotel features 250 guest rooms that boast a welcoming, contemporary design with a variety of sleeping options from King, double-Queen, to one-bedroom suites. All guest rooms and suites include sleek furnishings and are equipped with complimentary WiFi, a coffee maker, mini fridge and working desk. All rooms feature artwork that has been locally curated by NINE dot ARTS and is inspired by the city of Atlanta.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody boasts an impressive 12,000 square feet of diverse and flexible meeting space. The largest of the 11 spaces, the Azalea Ballroom, is approximately 5,700 square feet and can accommodate up to 700 guests, making it ideal for large corporate meetings or social gatherings. Complete meeting packages are available to help ease planning and ensure the success of any event – whether professional or for leisure.
Adjacent to the communal space and lobby bar, guests can dine at Southern Grove, a Modern Eatery & Bar, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Led by Chef Ken Kuiken, a culinary veteran with more than 30 years of experience, the restaurant features contemporary southern comfort food with authentic service in a friendly, modern atmosphere. From modern takes on traditional favorites like “Cornbread Sliders” served with 16-hour slow-cooked pulled pork topped with a bourbon peach glaze and crunchy coleslaw and house-pickled okra, to a fantastic selection of beverages – including brews from local favorite Sweetwater Brewing Company – Southern Grove aims to be a gathering place not only for guests and travelers, but for the local community as well.
Proudly “ITP” (Inside The Perimeter), the new DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody is located on Chamblee Dunwoody Road just inside I-285 and less than one mile from Perimeter Center, approximately 15 miles from downtown Atlanta and the new SunTrust Park and 30 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Set in the middle of Dunwoody, Sandy Springs and Brookhaven, the property offers centrally-based accommodations for travelers visiting the greater Metro-Atlanta area, including the fast-growing northern suburbs of Roswell, Alpharetta and Johns Creek.
